“EMPTY BOWLS AGAINST HUNGER” Event
at their 17TH ANNUAL MAY SHOW POTTERY SALE
The Canton Museum of Art Potter’s Guild will raise funds to help the hungry within our community by holding an “Empty Bowls Against Hunger” Fundraiser at their 17th ANNUAL MAY SHOW POTTERY SALE.
Canton Museum of Art in the Wilcoff Courtyard
Friday May 2nd, 4:00 - 9:00 pm - First Stop on FIRST FRIDAY
Saturday May 3rd, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Admission is free.
A wide variety of handcrafted pottery items and clay sculpture from which to choose will be available at the show. All pottery is hand made by the professional potters of the Canton Museum of Art Potter’s Guild. A portion of sale proceeds will benefit the ceramic educational programs at the Museum.
Each guild member is creating and donating high quality, unique pottery bowls for the “Empty Bowls” fundraiser. The minimum donation for these beautiful bowls is $10.00, but in the past many people have given more. All donations received for the bowls will be given to the Stark County Hunger Task Force to help feed the hungry.
The Potter’s Guild is a volunteer organization made up of skilled local artisans whose purpose is to support the Museum’s ceramics education programs and pottery studio.
